Underwater tracking and supervision

Navies and shipyards periodically monitor and verify the radiated noise / magnetic signature of their ships and submarines by means of an acoustic/magnetic range. To process, analyze and display the radiated noise / magnetic signature in real-time, the survey ship requires continuous and accurate tracking of the target vessel, in addition to measurement antenna and transmission of the data.

The GIB-Plus system, as a subsystems of an acoustic/magnetic range, is capable of tracking in real-time the exact position of the measured vessel or submarine (dived or on the surface) and of the subsea antenna of the measuring system. This positioning data is sent in real-time for processing and display to a Control Unit installed on the measuring ship which stays outside the measuring area (5 kilometres away).
